Vote: Top 10 Goals of the Week

Vote: Top 10 Goals of the Week

Monday, November 28th, 2011
After last week’s top goals of the week poll was happily hijacked by Poland (Legia’s Rafal Wolski claiming an enormous 19,945 votes), this week Serbs, Scots, Algerians, Malaysians, Aussies and Mexicans all have the chance to back golazos from their neck of the woods.
But we start with one of the glitziest, high-profile goals of the season as KPB swelled his fabulous goals collection with a solo stunner against Barcelona in the Champions League.
Staying with European greats, Red Star Belgrade - also known in as Crvena Zvezda – got their name up in lights courtesy of a wonderful backheel, while the French second division supplied a jaw-dropping solo stunner on Friday night. Solo stunners kept on coming on Saturday, as a Celtic teenager became an instant viral sensation scoring on debut against St Mirren.
The halfway point in the list is shared by two volleys; a rasping half-volley from the Bundesliga and a wonderful overhead effort from the Algerian top flight.
Our youngest goalscorer in the top 10 appears at spot seven as a 17-year-old Malaysian crashed home a howitzer. That’s followed by another unstoppable long ranger from Down Under at number eight.
That leaves two; arguably the goal of the season in Spain at nine, while a twinkle-toes solo special from the Mexican play-offs close our offering.
As always, you can get involved by voting at the bottom of this post.
Otherwise you know the drill: sit back and enjoy!
