Arsenal are going to Asia.
To celebrate the Club’s visit to China and Malaysia this summer, we have made two special videos.
Here’s the first, which gives you an insight into preparations Arsène Wenger and Thomas Vermaelen are making for the tour. Well, some of them at least!
Clearly, Arsenal are getting ready for Asia.

Asia Tour 2011
Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce that the first-team squad will be travelling to Asia in July for a pre-season tour.
Arsenal will play two matches during the week-long tour, kicking-off in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, before travelling to China, where the team will play a match close to the city of Hangzhou.
After arriving in Kuala Lumpur on Monday, July 11, Arsenal will play a match against a Malaysia XI in the Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, July 13, kick off 8.45pm local time.
The team will then travel to Hangzhou, China, where they will play against Chinese Super League side Hangzhou Greentown on Saturday, July 16. The stadium and kick off time for this match will be confirmed soon.
Arsenal Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis said: “Everyone at Arsenal Football Club is excited to be visiting both Malaysia and China. We enjoy huge support in Asia and this will help bring the Club closer to our fans in both countries.
“The Club has a tradition of playing in Malaysia going back to the 1960s. This will be our fourth visit to Malaysia, having last visited Kuala Lumpur in 1999. We are also delighted to be returning to China. We last visited in 1995 when we played a pre-season friendly match in Beijing.
“It will also be a wonderful experience for the Club and our players, many of whom will be visiting Malaysia and China for the first time.”

The travelling party will return to London after the match against Hangzhou GreenTown to continue their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2011/2012 Premier League season, which starts on the weekend of Saturday, August 13, 2011.

In addition to the tour of Malaysia and China, the Club has already confirmed the details for Emirates Cup 2011, which is being played at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31.
